Grady Bentley Mr. Grady Bentley, 53, of Chamberlain Ferry Road, entered into rest on July 10, 2007, at the Medical College of Georgia Hospital. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 14, at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Martin officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Mr. Bentley was a life long resident of Lincoln County and the son of the late John Horace and Mary Escareno Bentley. He was employed with Reed Ice Inc. and was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Bentley. Survivors include his wife, Melanie Buckland Bentley; one brother, Albert Bentley and wife, Margaret of Lincolnton; two sisters, Juanita Bentley Tyler and husband, Doug of Norcross, Ga. and Elizabeth Bentley Baker and husband, Doug of Lincolnton; five nieces, Amiee Brady, Allison Bentley, Amanda Gaines, Christina Baker and Maria Baker; three nephews, Blaine Tyler, Russell Tyler and Stephen Buckland; and two greatnephews. Pallbearers were Stephen Buckland, Grover Fox, Jr., Tab Reed, Blaine Tyler, Doug Tyler and Russell Tyler. Honorary pallbearers were employees of Reed Ice Inc. and Lincoln County High School Classmates of 1974.
