Soul Revival

Loco Baptist Church invites you to come and join the fun on Sat., July 21, at 7 p.m. Soul Revival will be providing the entertainment for the evening. There will be music for the adults and water fun for the children. This is an outside event so please bring your lawn chairs. Refreshments will be served.

GCHS class meeting

Glascock County High School Class of 1988 will meet on July 28, 2007 at 5 p.m. at Brassell Park in Gibson, Ga. to discuss plans for the 20th year activity. All graduates are encouraged to attend. Homecoming services

Homecoming Services for Harmony Baptist Church will be held Sun., Aug. 5, 2007 at 3 p.m. Rev. F.D. Favor and Springfield Baptist Church in Thomson, will be in charge of the service.

P.R.I.D.E. classes

MCG Children's Medical Center will sponsor P.R.I.D.E. (Parents Reducing Incidents of Driver Error). Classes will be offered every other month: Tues. July 17, Tues., Sept. 18, Tues., Nov. 20, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 825 North Belair Rd., Evans, Ga., from 6 - 8 p.m.

P.R.I.D.E. is a free program that helps establish a dialogue between parents and new teen drivers, prior to the 40 hours of supervised practice driving time required by law.

Donations needed

The Lincoln County High School Debate Booster Club is accepting donations to help offset the expense of the students traveling to the national tournaments this summer.

Your contribution will have a lasting impact on the lives of these students. Not only will you be helping to pay for them to compete, you will also be helping to provide experiences that will last a lifetime. Please call Stephanie Carani at 706-825-5628 with any questions.

Family, Friends Day

Solomon Pool Deliverance Ministries of Lincolnton will have its Second Annual Family and Friends Day Sun., July 29 at 3 p.m. Guest speaker will be Bishop Jessie Lee Warren of Asheville, N.C. Music will be by Devyne Inspiration of Athens, Ga. and Shannon Cox and family of Lincolnton.

The public is invited. Rev. Peggy Ware Zellars is pastor.

University Health Care System Breast Health Center will sponsor a free breast health class at Lincoln County Health Dept. July 31, 8:30 - 2:45. Register for a chance to win a free gift!!!

Drop in for breast health information, learn proper breast self exam techniques, and the importance of yearly mammograms.

Homecoming service

Pleasant Grove C.M.E. Church will have Homecoming on Sun., Aug. 5 at 2 p.m. Dr. Delcinia M. Jamison of Faith Tabernacle Church will be the guest minister. Everyone is invited.
