High achievers
The eighth-grade gifted students at LCMS, under the supervision of teacher Jan Bruns (pictured), participated in the American Scholastic Achievement Challenge. Scoring well above the national average were Connor Hamm (right, standing), Elizabeth Dunaway (left, seated), Tyler Epps (right, seated), and Meg Ball (not pictured). As a result of this achievement, the students were awarded certificates of merit. In addition, Hamm, the high scorer at LCMS, received a medal. "This was a very challenging and rewarding experience for all of the participants," said Bruns. "Kudos to these very bright and wonderful students!" Approximately 22,000 students nationwide took part in the competition.
