Willis honored at miscellaneous shower April 1

Benton Willis, bride-elect of Keith Cunningham, was honored with a miscellaneous shower held at the New Hope Baptist Church Fellowship Hall on Sunday, April 1. Hostesses for the occasion were the ladies of New Hope Baptist Church.

As guests arrived they signed the register at a table decorated with white orchids.

The refreshment tables and the tables for seating were overlaid with white cloths and held arrangements of spring flowers, baby's breath and leatherleaf fern. Guests were served pound cake along with a fruit cup and tea.

Miss Willis, who was lovely in a turquoise dress was presented a corsage of pink sweetheart roses. Her mother, Mrs. Brenda Willis, Mrs. Liba Cunningham, mother of the groom-elect and Mrs. Ruth Poland, grandmother of the bride-elect greeted guests with Benton.

Miss Willis presented each hostess with a pastel note pad and decorative magnet.

Approximately 50 guests attended the occasion.
