Toni Roberson entertained with miscellaneous shower

Toni Roberson, bride-elect of Tom Callaway, was entertained with a miscellaneous shower on Saturday morning, March 24, in the fellowship hall of First Baptist Church.

The occasion was hosted by many of the children for whom the brideelect has baby-sat and cared, Cassidy Barnett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jamie Barnett; Adam Sydney and Caitlyn Harper, children of Mr. and Mrs. Shane Harper; Maura Jackson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rob Jackson; Alaina Weber, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wade Weber; and Grant, Miles and Chase Chafin, sons of Mr. and Mrs. David Chafin.

For the occasion Miss Roberson chose a black and white striped silk skirt with a black wrap top. She was presented a complementing corsage of white daisies tied with white ribbon.

Ferns and daisies were used in decorating the hall.

Guests were greeted at the door of the fellowship hall and invited to a table which held a delicious assortment of sausage balls, ham biscuits, pecan sandies, assorted fruit, cake squares, cheese straws, punch and coffee.

The hostesses presented the brideelect with a set of her everyday china that included a dinner plate, salad plate, bread and butter plate, rice bowl, cup and saucer and a Gorham Lady Anne hi-ball glass. She was also presented with a picture of the hosts and hostesses with their signatures on the surrounding mat.

Over 100 guests were invited. Special guests of the morning were the bride-elect's mother, Mrs. Rodney Roberson of Washington; the prospective bridegroom's mother, Mrs. Faye Callaway of Tignall; also the bride-elect's grandmothers, Mrs. Harry Partridge of Lincolnton and Mrs. Gayle Roberson of Washington
