Bill Greene announces his candidacy for 10th District seat
for the 10th Congressional District seat vacated by Representative Charlie Norwood, who recently passed away following a lengthy illness.

Greene is the founder and president of RightMarch.com, an on-line conservative organization formed as a "rapid response force" to enable its members to take effective action against the activities of on-line liberal groups like MoveOn.org. He heads up the RightMarch.com PAC as well, which targets federal races, giving its members a means of supporting stanch movement conservatives against liberal Republicans and Democrats.

In 2004, the Washington Times called Greene a "conservative Internet guru."

The candidate also serves as president of Strategic Internet Campaign Management, Inc. (SICM), an on-line political consulting firm that enables organizations and candidates to harness the power of the Internet for fund-raising and grassroots activism.

SICM manages the Conservative Alerts.com e-mail list which, along with other partner efforts such as RightMarch, is the largest conservative conveyor of messages to Congress, the president, and other leaders. In fact, it is responsible for over five million activist messages sent by conservatives.

In its April, 2002, issue, "Campaigns and Elections" magazine, the trade publication of professionals, featured Greene as one of its "Rising Stars in Politics," and in 2005, SICM received a "Pollie Award" from the American Association of Political Consultants.

Formerly, the congressional candidate was vice president of Internet marketing and development at Conservative HQ.com, Inc., a conservative, on-line activism and fund-raising company headed by political direct mail legend Richard A Viguerie. Prior to his work there, he was the director of Internet marketing for The Grizzard Agency of Atlanta, a top- 10 direct marketing agency.

Initially, Greene was in academia, teaching political science and international relations at Florida International University in Miami for a number of years. He still takes time out to teach political science at the university level.

During his career, Greene has presented many seminars dealing with on-line fund-raising and activism for events such as the "Campaigns & Elections Magazine" Annual Conference, George Washington University's annual Politics On-Line conference, the Conservative Political Action Conference, and the O'Reilly Emerging Technology Conference. He has likewise conducted seminars for the Direct Marketing Association of Washington, the DC Ad Club, the American Marketing Association of Lincoln, and other organizations.

In addition to hosting his own weekly national radio show, the candidate has appeared on PBS's "Bill Moyers' NOW;" NPR's "Fresh Air" and "Morning Edition;" CNN's "Paula Zahn Now," "Anderson Cooper 360," and "Aaron Brown;" "MSNBC Live;" the "CBS Sunday Morning News;" and dozens of local television news and radio talk shows around the country.

Greene, who attends the Grace Bible Family Fellowship, resides in Braselton with Nancy, his wife of 17 years, and their two children.
