Doris Maynard Davis

Mrs. Doris Maynard Davis, 88, wife of the late William C. Davis, entered into rest on February 6, 2007 at Kentwood Nursing Home in Augusta, Ga.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 9 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery with Bishop Cullen Hicks officiating.

Mrs. Davis, daughter of the late William and Eva Maynard, was a native of Calhoun Falls but had lived in Lincoln County most of her life. She was a member of Martin's Crossroads Congregational Holiness Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Vivian D. Hanks and Juanita Angerine Stewart, both of Lincolnton and Willene D. Norman of Tignall, Ga.; five sons, Clyde Davis of Tignall, Claude Davis, Curtis Davis, Perry Dale Davis and B.L. Davis, all of Lincolnton; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Beggs Funeral Home, Lincolnton, was in charge of arrangements.
