Mrs. Elizabeth H. Waters, 79, of Hidden Harbor Road, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at her residence.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 20, at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Rev. David Jenkins officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Waters was an office manager and lived in Richmond County, Ga. before moving to Lincoln County fourteen years ago. She was a charter member and initial president of the Dearing Lioness Club, a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Augusta Bowling Association and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 205. She was also an avid fisherman. The family said that she was a loving wife and mother, always putting family and friends first.
She was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Miranda Elizabeth.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, John A. Waters; a daughter, Joy Evans of River Falls, S.C.; two sons, James H. Evans of Hephzibah, Ga. and Greg James of Lincolnton; one step-son, John R. Waters of Cartersville, Ga.; two granddaugh- ters, Tarra Stoddard and Cassandra Cochrane.
Pallbearers were Don Bruton, Michael Ferguson, Frankie Hair, Tony Hair, Barry Sanders and Chris Stoddard.
