Mr. Frank J. Moon, 79, of Hwy. 220 East, entered into rest on Monday, October 1, 2007 at Wills Memorial Hospital in Washington.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 3 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church with Revs. T.G. Hall and Elton Lawson officiating. Interment followed in Palmer Cemetery.

Mr. Moon was a retired textile worker and the son of the late Hurd and Mattie Palmer Moon. He was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church and was an avid fisherman.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Janie Moon and a son, Jesse Moon.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Sarah Frances Moon; two brothers, George Moon and wife, Allene of Washington, Ga. and Douglas Moon and wife, Carol of Dalton, Ga.; three grandchildren, Robby Moon and wife, Angie, Mitchell Moon and wife, Jessica and Eric Moon.

Pallbearers were Randy Echols, Earnest Moon, Eric Moon, Eugene Moon, Robby Moon and Mitchell Moon.

Rees Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
