Skylines are inundated with them, skyscrapers are wrapped in them, and you are one of them...YOU ARE A BILLBOARD! Billboards are simple, visual reminders of a message deemed valuable by the owner.

You will not be able to sell anything until you first sell it to yourself. This was the best piece of advice offered to me when I began working in the sales/marketing industry because passion is infectious.

If I stopped a parent or grandparent on the street corner and asked to see a picture of their children or grandchildren, very few would pass up the opportunity to not only show the picture but would IMMEDIATELY begin talking about each little darling.

Why? The subject matter is of value to them. Value is not marked with $'s but with need. The best salespeople know how to create a need by putting value to the product.

Billboards are seen at speeds of between 45 - 70 miles per hour. In much the same way, you have less than thirty seconds to make an impression so keep your message simple. Create a verbal 30-second commercial to share with each person you meet. Identify your name, your business/ organization, your product and your hook. The hook is a catchy comment which will provoke further investigation by the audience.

Billboards are big and typically found in high traffic areas. Top of Mind Awareness or TOMA is a strategic measure to insure your product

thought of more often than the competitor. NEVER assume customers will remember you, your company, or your product! INSURE they will remember you by keeping your face in the community and visual aid by your side.

Walk tall, keep it simple, be seen or be forgotten, and believe the value of your product.
