Casie Brooks Bryan weds Charlie W. Anderson Jr.
MR. AND MRS. CHARLIE W. ANDERSON JR. Casie Brook Bryan and Charlie W. Anderson Jr. of Lincolnton were united in marriage in a lovely gazebo ceremony at Julian Smith Casino in Augusta Saturday, August 4, at six o'clock in the evening. Officiating the double-ring ceremony were Pastors Terry Bond and Lannis Lewis of Lincolnton.
The bride is the daughter of Wyatt Bryan and Sharon Bryan of Lincolnton and the granddaughter of Mary Gambrell of Abbeville, S. C., the late Howard Gambrell, Frances Bryan of Lincolnton and the late Sellars Bryan.
The bridegroom is the son of Charlie and Vera Anderson of Washington and Lance and Beth Harrell of Harlem. He is the grandson of Gail Henderson of Windsor, S. C., the late Jack Anderson and Virginia Hancock of Aiken, S. C.
The walkway to the gazebo was lit with candles on black wrought iron candleholders adorned with flowing white wisteria, greenery, and white satin bows and four large ferns. Flowing white silk draped the gazebo. Large wrought iron hanging planters flowing with mixed greenery and white flowers were placed between each gazebo column. Inside the gazebo was the unity candle and holder entwined with white wisteria and greenery.
Billy Maxwell of Washington presented a collection of classical pieces during the prelude. "Prelude in C Minor" was played as the grandmothers and mothers were seated. The mothers lit two candles representing their giving their children in marriage. The wedding party entered to "Canon in D". The bride and her father arrived in a horse-drawn carriage and entered to "Bridal Chorus". "Butterfly Kisses" was sung by Mr. Maxwell as the father gave the bride in marriage and he sang "Making Memories" as the couple lit the unity candle. "The Wedding March" was the recessional.
Corey Truitt and Jason Truitt of Harlem were best men. Groomsmen were Brandon Bryan of Lincolnton, Chris Cox and Ryan Goodson of Augusta, Matt Jones and Raymond Vallois of Harlem and Charles Mock of Martinez. Boutonnieres of deep pink roses with gypsophila were on their lapels.
Dia Winfrey of Washington was matron of honor and Brooks Biles of Lincolnton was maid of honor. Their floor-length black two-tone gowns were by Alexia. Each featured a scarlet side pleat adorned with a diamond pendant.
Bridesmaids were Cheri Crawford, Angela Douglas, Mikell McClure, Rebecca Nichols and Terri Jackson of Augusta and Alexandria Bryan of Lincolnton. Also by Alexia, their floor-length scarlet satin two-tone gowns each featured a black side pleat adorned with an attached diamond pendant.
All wore matching diamond necklace and earrings, gifts from the bride, and carried bouquets of colorful flowers matching the bride's bouquet.
Flower girl, Gianna Anderson of North Augusta, S. C., daughter of the bridegroom, wore a satin floor-length dress embellished with cutout beaded and pearl lace appliqués and rosette adornments and a matching cathedral train. A tiara adorned her hair. She carried a white basket embellished with trims and filled with rose petals.
Christopher Long of Windsor, S. C., nephew of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.
The bride was stunning in a ball gown by Jacqueline. The elegant design featured a basque waistline and sweetheart neckline embellished with pearls, beads and sequins. The full ball gown skirt was adorned with beaded cutout lace appliqués and rosette adornments.
She chose a Swarovski tiara and fingertip veil with diamond teardrops and her diamond drop necklace and matching earrings completed her attire.
She carried a colorful bouquet of orange dendrobium orchids, miniature yellow roses, white stephanotis, greenery and deep pink gerbera daisies.
The couple left the wedding in a horse-drawn carriage.

Immediately following the ceremony, the bride's parents entertained at a reception inside Julian Smith Casino overlooking Lake Olmstead.
The foyer was draped with white silk and featured two large magnolia arrangements in golden urns. The entrance was a lighted archway with draping greenery and two large white orchid pedestal arrangements. A wedding portrait of the bride graced the foyer. Also in the foyer was a signature portrait of the bride and bridegroom for guests to sign. A separate guest book was on a table covered in black linen and decorated with a gold candleholder draped with ivy.
The candlelight reception featured several focal points. The ceiling over the reception area was adorned with sixteen large ferns. Arched windows were trimmed in miniature white wedding lights. The stage area was adorned with white lattice draped in white silk, greenery and lights. Two large ferns and six candleholders were placed in front of the lattice to give a lighted glow.
A large arrangement with an assortment of brightly-colored flowers in a golden urn and surrounded with tall candle vases centered the food table adorned with a colorful sheer overlay. Heavy hors d'oeuvres were served on gold trays placed at different levels on tables covered with black linens. Crystal vases filled with shrimp were a feature. A chocolate fountain with luscious fruits and dips topped a black linen-draped table. A gold statue with vegetables centered the vegetable table. Another focal point was an ice sculpture encircled with an assortment of brightly-colored flowers. Punch was served from a gold and silver fountain draped in greenery and placed atop a table draped in black linens.
Guests were seated at tables covered with black linen cloths. The chairs covered in black linen with scarlet-colored sashes matching the bridesmaids' dresses. The tables were finished with sheer colorful overlays, black linen napkins and gold candleholders draped with ivy. Four of the guest tables featured four large arrangements matching the central arrangement of the food table.
A black linen table drape with sheer scarlet material adorned with flowers and candles provided the setting for the wedding cake placed behind a lighted gold arch draped with greenery and two matching gold candelabra also draped with greenery and assorted colorful flowers. The center five-tiered cake towered over a fountain and provided the center setting for four satellite square cakes. A large gold "A" with Swarovski crystals topped the cake. The cakes and surrounding setting were decorated with an assortment of colorful flowers. Raven Whitaker of Harlem served the cake
Along side the bride's cake was the bridegroom's cake, also atop a black linen-draped table. The two-tiered square chocolate cake was iced in light chocolate and featured dark swirls and chocolate-dipped strawberries.
Music for entertainment and dancing was furnished by DJ Jason Crook of Lincolnton.
The couple left for a wedding trip to Hawaii through a pathway formed by lighted sparklers.

Charlie and Vera Anderson and Lance and Beth Harrell entertained at a rehearsal dinner on Friday evening, August 3, at the Julian Smith Casino.
Guests enjoyed a delicious barbecue dinner.

Casie Bryan, her attendants and flower girl were honored at a bridesmaids' luncheon at Julian Smith Casino given by Christy Bryan of Lincolnton.
Guests enjoyed heavy hors d'oeuvres.
After the luncheon, Miss Bryan treated her bridesmaids to champagne and petit fours. A wedding charm was placed within each petit four and as each bridesmaid removed her charm, the bride-elect explained its meaning.
