A Lincolnton Police Department patrol car was totaled in an accident that occurred about 5 p.m. Sunday, July 15, at the intersection of Peachtree Street and the Augusta Highway. According to a report issued by the Georgia State Patrol, Officer Mike Greeson was turning left onto the Augusta Highway from Peachtree Street when Michael Gregory Teston, 50, of Appling ran a red light in his Chevrolet pickup truck and struck the patrol car.
