2007-06-07 / People

ROGER BOYLE ROGER BOYLE Roger Carlton Boyle earned the Boy Scouts highest rank - Eagle Scout - on Monday, May 21, 2007. The Eagle rank requires one's best efforts to master the skills of leadership, service, outdoor knowledge and to practice good citizenship, and ethical behavior of the highest order.

Learning all the skills and completing all the requirements took five years of dedication and hard work. Those years were full of opportunities to learn, to lead and to teach. Fewer than four percent of all boys who begin Scouts earn the rank of Eagle - a true testament to its high standards.

Roger will be a senior at Lincoln County High School. He is the son of Leslie and Tom Boyle and the grand- son of Bettye and Herb Dittmer of Lincolnton and Marge and the late Charles "Bucky" Boyle of Allentown, PA.
