Tawanna Wright and Hilary Aycock are recipients of LWREA honorariums

Tawanna Wright and Hilary Aycock are the Lincoln County recipients of the Lincoln-Wilkes Retired Educators Association (LWREA) honorariums.

They each submitted outstanding essays on the topic, "The Importance of Furthering My Education." Tawanna, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Wright, will be attending Macon State College. Hilary, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Barney Aycock III, will be attending Georgia Southern University.

Graduating seniors who attend school in Wilkes or Lincoln Counties and who are planning to further their education beyond high school are encouraged to apply in the spring of their senior year. Information can be obtained from the school guidance counselor.

The purchase of Georgia Retired Educators Association (GREA) spotlight ads by local businesses and individuals from both counties helps to fund the honorariums. Presidentelect, Coleman Kennedy presented the awards to the Lincoln County recipients. Frances Zellars of Wilkes County is the current president of LWREA.
