J. Lynn Clifton of the Amity Community, was one of forty-four registered nurses who were honored Friday, May 4, 2007 at the Marriott Hotel in Augusta.

Mrs. Clifton, a 1986 Lincoln County High School graduate, was nominated to be considered as the 2007 Nurse of the Year by the CSRA Georgia Nurse's Association. All nominees were nominated by patients or patients' family members.

Lynn has been employed at Doctor's Hospital of Augusta for the past ten and one-half years as a RN. She is married to Todd Clifton and has two children, Paul and Lauren Clifton. She is the daughter of Ralph and Joyce Martin.
