DAVID WILLIAM BURKE David William Burke, son of Wade and Annette Burke, grandson of Tom and Polly Burke of Martinez, was awarded the Grace Thomas Award at the University of Georgia on April 27, 2007.

This award is given once a year to a student who has been nominated by his professor for excellence in discipline and leadership during classroom seminar and research performance.

David graduated May 12 with a degree in Cellular Biology.

He is a 2002 graduate of Lakeside High School.
