Mr. Thomas Pringle McGee, 72, of North Augusta, S.C., entered into rest May 6, 2007.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 11 at Stephen D. Posey Funeral Home with Revs. Dave Hinson and John Pike officiating. Interment followed in Sunset Memory Gardens with veteran's honors.

Mr. McGee was a native of Iva, S.C., a former resident of Columbia, S.C. and Lincolnton, Ga., having made North Augusta his home for the past two years. He was a member of Lincolnton United Methodist Church, a U.S. Air Force veteran and coowner of McGee Home Builders. He was retired from the South Carolina Air National Guard and the Civil Service at McEntire Air National Guard Base with 30 years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Carole Strickland McGee; a son and daughter in-law, Matt and Kelly McGee of North Augusta; a daughter and sonin law, Wanda and Tristan Maurer of East Haddam, Conn.; a brother, J.R. McGee of Iva; five sisters, Peggy Glover of Lincolnton, Nellie Ruth Baugus of Iva, Amanda Brown of Hartwell, Ga., Martha Elmore of Greenwood, S.C. and Betty Smith of Anderson, S.C.; seven grandchildren, Hannah McGee, Jordan McGee, Joshua McGee, Amanda Maurer, Emily Maurer, Samuel Maurer and Elijah Maurer.

Pallbearers were Phil Glover, Shannon McGee, Shawn McGee, Jerry McKinney, Dale Hart and Billy Strickland.
