The Augusta State University Conservatory Jazz Band, under the direction of Dr. John D. Bradley, invites the public to an evening of Big Band Jazz on Sat., April 28, 7:30 p.m. at the Maxwell Performing Arts Theatre. Admission is free.

The band is comprised of 28 of the best high school jazz performers from 12 different schools throughout the CSRA.

Training course

The American Red Cross of Augusta will have a Babysitter Training Course on May 5, 2007 at the Columbia County Library in the Young Adult Room from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. The course is for children between 11 and 15 years of age and teaches skills necessary to provide safe and responsible child care.
