Engaged couple Benton Willis and Keith Cunningham were honored at a shower on Saturday evening, March 3, at the home of Mary Catherine Simmons in Atlanta, Georgia. Hostesses for the occasion were Christy Coogle, Suzanne Griggs, Mary Catherine Simmons, Laura Elliott Smith, and Jessica Weaks of Atlanta; and Hillary Bishop of St. Simons Island.

Guests included college friends of Miss Willis and members of the wedding party. Also present were the prospective bridegroom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Cunningham, and the bride-elect's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Willis, Chelsey Willis of Athens, and Debra Poland, and Teresa Burgess of Lincolnton. Special guests included Johnny Freeland of Lincolnton, Mandi Keown of Columbia, South Carolina, and Anna Beth Remsen of Smyrna.

For the occasion, Miss Willis wore a pink strapless dress with a black leather belt.

The house was splendidly decorated with arrangements of sunflowers in crystal vases. Table arrangements of white roses were used in other locations throughout the house. Appetizers of Asian chicken won tons and spicy shrimp were served as guest arrived. A delicious Tex-Mex meal was served from the buffet.

Miss Willis and Mr. Cunningham presented each hostess a festive silver beverage opener.
