Willis, Cunningham guests of honor at Mardi Gras shower
Engaged couple Benton Willis and Keith Cunningham were honored at a Mardi Gras Shower on Saturday evening, February 17, at the home of Jim Rowland. Hosts for the occasion were Jim Rowland, Amber Golden of Greenwood, South Carolina, Donald Gunter, and Robyn Williams of Greenville, South Carolina. The hosts added to the special occasion by wearing Mardi Gras beads and headpieces.
The couple chose casual attire for the occasion. The bride-elect wore jeans with a festive yellow long sleeve sweater. Keith was given a Joker's hat to wear, and they gave Benton necklaces of large beads and a tiara to wear.
Festive Mardi Gras decorations were used and colors of purple, green and yellow added to the shower's theme. Guests were presented with Mardi Gras beads as they arrived, and a delicious Cajun meal of shrimp and chicken was served from the buffet. A Mardi Gras punch was also served.
Approximately 50 guests attended. Special guests included the brideelect's parents, Joe and Brenda Willis and the prospective bridegroom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Cunningham.
Miss Willis and Mr. Cunningham presented each host with a set of festive polka-dot glasses.
