      Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Guthrie and Mr. Billy J. Bannister, Jr., are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristen Amanda Bannister, to Jeffrey Andrew Crenshaw, son of Mr. and Mrs. Winn Crenshaw. She is the granddaughter of Myra and the late Virgil Griffith, Bill and Carolyn Bannister and the late Lil Bannister.

      Engaged couple Toni Roberson and Tom Callaway were entertained at a lawn and garden shower on Saturday evening, April 7, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Bailey, aunt and uncle of the bride-elect, of Washington. Joining Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Bailey in hosting the event were cousins of the bride-elect, Mr. and Mrs. Jason Bailey and Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Radford of Lincolnton.

Petty Officer Barr-Card retires after twenty years of service
      Petty Officer First Class Gezell Barr-Card, a cryptologic technician, retired from the United States Navy after twenty years of service. The ceremony took place at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida. Petty Officer Gezell Barr-Card graduated from Miami Central High School in Miami, FL. in 1986. She enlisted in the United States Navy in March 1987.

Jones visits points of interest while visiting in Wyoming
      Mrs. Elaine Jones recently traveled to Cheyenne, Wyoming to visit her nephew, Justin Ramsey and his wife, Sangae. While there she visited several sites like the state capitol where they have a mounted bison on display. The bison is the state mammal of Wyoming. She also toured the State Museum, the F.E. Warren I.C.M.B. and Heritage Museum located on the air force base in Wyoming.

EMMA GRACE CLIATT
      Cory and Bridgette Cliatt are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Emma Grace, born April 5, 2007 at University Hospital in Augusta. She weighed eight pounds, eight ounces and was twenty-one and one-half inches long. Maternal grandparents are Mrs. Patsy Raley and the late James E. Raley, Jr. of Lincolnton.

      Engaged couple Benton Willis and Keith Cunningham were honored at a Mardi Gras Shower on Saturday evening, February 17, at the home of Jim Rowland. Hosts for the occasion were Jim Rowland, Amber Golden of Greenwood, South Carolina, Donald Gunter, and Robyn Williams of Greenville, South Carolina. The hosts added to the special occasion by wearing Mardi Gras beads and headpieces.
