Collins competes in NCFCA tournament in Spartanburg, SC
Emma Rose Collins, a member of Veritas Augusta Speech and Debate Club, was one of nearly 150 students between the ages of twelve and eighteen who competed in the NCFCA Qualifying Tournament in Spartanburg, S.C. on March 6 - 8.
NCFCA, National Christian Forensics and Communications Association, is an organization that provides the means for home schooled students to learn and exercise analytical and oratorical skills through formal speech and debate. NCFCA sponsors qualifying tournaments throughout the country and an annual national tournament.
Emma and her debate partner, Drew Fahrion, participated in Team Policy debate, winning two out of their five rounds. This year's Team Policy debate topic is "The reform or abolishment of NATO, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization."
Emma also competed in Speech, presenting a Humouous Interpretation which took her to the final rounds, making her eligible to compete in the regional tournament in Naples, Florida.
