Mrs. Jessie Davis Scott, 98, entered into rest on Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at Harper's Personal Care Home in Washington.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 25, at Martin's Crossroad Congregational Holiness Church with Bishop Cullen Hicks, Rev. Terry Casper and Rev. James James officiating. Interment will be held in Lincolnton City Cemetery.

Mrs. Scott was a member of the Martin's Crossroad Congregational Holiness Church where she was a former member of the Senior Ladies Sunday School Class.

Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Scott; a son, Maurice Turner and a sister, Opal Howell.

Survivors include two sons, George C. Turner of Lakeland, Fla. and Raymond E. Turner of Orlando, Fla.; eight grandchildren; ten greatgrandchildren; and one great-greatgrandchild.

Pallbearers were Billy Danner, Thomas Danner, Ben Scott, Charles Scott, Gene Scott and Johnny Young.

Rees Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
