Margaret 'Maggie' Mae Mertins to wed Kevin Andrew Cargle May 19
Ms. Lynne Ranew-Mertins and Mr. Dennis Charles Mertins Sr., both of Albany, Georgia, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Margaret "Maggie" Mae Mertins of Albany to Mr. Kevin Andrew Cargle of Douglasville, Georgia.
Miss Mertins is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. C.D. Ranew of Albany and the late Mr. and Mrs. Otto Edward Mertins of Augusta, Georgia. She is the sister of Mr. Dennis "D" Charles Mertins Jr. of Albany.
Miss Mertins is currently attending the University of Georgia and plans to pursue a career in special education. She attended Deerfield-Windsor School and Westover High School. She was an honor graduate and a member of the 2003 Debutant Club.
Mr. Cargle is the grandson of Gladys Thomas and the late Mr. Ellis Carlton Thomas of Douglasville and Mr. Foster Cargle and the late Trucie Cargle of Douglasville. He is the brother of Mr. Brad Cargle of Villa Rica, Georgia and Mr. Zack Cargle of Douglasville.
Mr. Cargle is a graduate of Alexander High School in Douglasville and attended West Central College in Carrollton, Georgia. He is employed by Greystone Power Company in Douglasville.
The wedding will take place May 19, 2007 at Porterfield Memorial United Methodist Church at 6 p.m. in Albany. The reception will follow the ceremony at the home of the bride and bride's mother, The Shackelford House in Albany.
