Mini golf tourney Elijah Clark State Park invites you to bring the entire family to the Masters Week Parent/Child Mini Golf Tournament. Each team consisting of one parent and one child will play 18 holes of mini golf. The tournament will be held Wed., April 4. Tee times are available between 1 and 3 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the top fin- ishers, best-dressed team, longest traveled, and the first hole in one. Ride horseback on your own from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. through the 2,500 acres of wilderness bound by 32 miles of shoreline. Cost is $5 per horse. ACS offers RtoR prog. The American Cancer Society now offers its Road to Recovery program to cancer patients in Lincoln County who need transportation to and from their treatments, free of charge. Drivers are trained society volunteers who pick up patients at their homes, take them to their treatment and drive them back home. Apply for honorarium High school seniors may apply for an honorarium sponsored by the Lincoln Wilkes Retired Educators Association. The students must plan to attend a college or vocational school for the 2007 - 2008 academic year and write a 250 - 500 word essay on the topic "The Importance of Furthering My Education." Please provide a cover page with your name, date, name of high school and the name of college or vocational school you plan to attend.
