Support Souper Sunday

TO THE EDITOR

On a day when the world focuses on football and fun, young people across the country are quietly raising millions to help people who are hungry. How? Through a program known as Souper Bowl of Caring.

Souper Bowl of Caring is a grassroots movement where churches hold soup pots and collect $1 from each worshipper on Super Bowl Sunday.

The first year 22 churches participated and collected $5,700 for the hungry. Please join this movement and help raise funds for the Lincoln County Food Pantry.

This is not just for churches, group or organization who would like to participate are encouraged to help. For more information you may call 706- 359-3004 or 706-401-1383.

OPERATION MANAGER Generosity appreciated

TO THE EDITOR

Thank you to Double Branches Baptist Church members for cooking hamburgers and bringing them to feed the rescue team last Wednesday night while they were working an accident scene. Your generosity was greatly appreciated.
