Chief Justice reports on arrests and incidents occurring in city
An activity report was recently issued by the Lincolnton Police Department.
According to Chief Jim Justice, the following arrests were made in the city:
.. Brittany Norman, 17, of Lincolnton, charged with disorderly conduct.
.. Christopher Alan Clark, 24, of Hull, Georgia, charged with possession of marijuana (misdemeanor), DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, driving too fast for conditions, and reckless driving.
.. Larry Wade of Lincolnton, charged with battery.
Moving on to other matters, Chief Justice noted that the following incidents occurred recently:
.. Emanuel Willis reported that an unknown person(s) threw a brick through the living room window at his residence on Hickory Street. No one was injured.
.. Dennis Edwards, manager of Bell's Food Market, reported that cashiers received two checks which were later determined to be forgeries by a bank in Waynesboro. The total amount of the checks was $180.06.
.. Jeffery Bolton reported that an unknown person(s) stole a 6' x 12' Hooper trailer from Quarles Sales & Service on Goshen Street. The trailer was valued at $700.
.. Karen Williams reported that a red Honda allegedly backed into her 2000 Ford Escort, while it was parked in the lot at Maxway, and then fled the scene.
.. Scott Dekreon reported that an unknown person(s) attempted to gain entry to his barber shop on Elm Street. The subject(s) tried to pry open the front door of the business.
.. Shela Bentley, the school nurse at LCMS/LCHS, reported that an unknown person(s) took a cell phone, valued at $100, from the desk in her office.
.. An employee of Farmers & Merchants Bank reported that a 2002 Chevrolet S-10 pickup, parked behind the bank, was on fire. The matter was turned over to the fire marshal who determined that it was a case of arson.
All of the incidents listed above are currently under investigation, said Chief Justice.
