The second annual Mr. LCMS Contest will take place on Monday, February 5, at 7:30 p.m. in the school auditorium.

Rev. Lanis Lewis, co-pastor of First Assembly of God, is set to serve as the emcee for the evening, with entertainment provided by vocalist/guitarist Bill Maxwell of Washington.

In addition to Mr. LCMS, judges will select a grade winner as well as first and second-place runners-up for each grade. Awards will also be given to the "Most Photogenic" contestant and to the participants judged to have the "Best Stage Presence," the "Handsomest Eyes," and the "Handsomest Smile."

The 19 young men vying for the title of Mr. LCMS are:

Sixth Grade - Jordan Welch, Chandler Jones, Keyston Duncan, Alec Burt, Will Chomskis, and Nicholas Stopher.

Seventh Grade - Austin Dockery, James Reid, Eddie Boyd, Clayton O'Donnell, Joseph Smart, and Nelson Barksdale.

Eighth Grade - Will Strickland, Austin Wiley, Tyler Banks, Dylan Arthur, Devante Starks, Bond Turner, and Josh Redman.

`Sponsored by the LCMS Student Council, the event is being coordinated by Christie Bryan, student council advisor; Diana Paradise; and Benton Willis.

Admission is $4 for high school students and adults and $3 for middle and elementary school students. Children under the age of five will be admitted free of charge. Gold Cards will be accepted for middle school students only.

After Hours Formal Wear of Augusta has donated the tuxedos for the evening.
