John S. Goldman was appointed the Augusta VA Medical Center Associate Director for Operations on January 7, 2007. Goldman began his VA career in Augusta as an administrative officer for the Radiology Department. He had refused dialysis treatment, then astounded his doctors by living, according to Buchwald, "way past my expiration date."
