Work on water lines may cause inconvenience

Water customers with the City of Lincolnton may experience a few inconveniences over the next two months in the name of progress.

According to Stanley Parton, city water superintendent, “We presently have some contracting work underway to replace and upgrade water mains at various locations in the city. Water customers should be aware that they may experience water outages, low pressure, and stained water at different intervals. Also, some air may be introduced into the system.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause,” he said.
