Debra P. Cliatt

Mrs. Debra Pounds Cliatt, 52, of Colonial Drive, entered into rest on Saturday, December 9, 2006 in Atlanta, Ga.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.

Mrs. Cliatt was retired from the Medical College of Georgia Hospital, Department of Neurology, after 27 years of service. After retirement, she enjoyed volunteering her services on the MCG Health Partners Advisory Council as a Patient/Family Advisor. She was very proud of her achievements as an advisor in the planning and construction details of the new MCG Cardiovascular outpatient clinic. Her husband, Michael, will continue her mission as an advisor in making the Medical College of Georgia Hospital the very best patient and family centered care facility in the country. She was an avid Lincoln County Red Devil football fan for many years and enjoyed visiting in Atlanta during the annual football playoffs at the Georgia Dome. She looked forward to staying at the Omni Hotel as the family has many

close friends on the hotel staff and they all offer her royal service. Last Thursday upon arrival, the management greeted her with a warm welcome and made sure that every detail of her visit was handled with great care. She watched the playoff games on television in her hotel room and she enjoyed being a part of the Lincoln County Red Devil fans in supporting her team to victory. I am proud to say that Heaven has a new member of the Red Devil fan club and she is awaiting my arrival for a future championship.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Pounds and her brother, Billy Pounds.

Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Michael Cliatt; a daughter, Allison Cliatt of Statesboro, Ga.; and her mother, Vivian Pounds of Augusta.

If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the MCG Cardiovascular Unit, 1120 15th Street, Augusta, Ga. 30912.

Rees Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
