James Colbert

Mr. James Colbert, 58, of Lincolnton, entered into rest on Sunday, December 3, 2006 at his residence.

A memorial service will be held at Clarks Hill Lake.

Mr. Colbert was born in Habersham County, Georgia on December 20, 1947. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a truck driver who worked in timber most of his life. He was of the Baptist faith and was an avid fisherman and lov- ing father.

Survivors include three sons, Travis Colbert and Jeff Colbert, both of Habersham County, and Anthony Colbert of Lincolnton; two stepgranddaughters, Crystal Quarles of Thomson, Georgia and Amy Turner of Lincolnton; and eleven grandchildren.

Strom Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
