Band will present Christmas concert in LCHS Auditorium

The various bands at LCMS and LCHS will present their annual Christmas concert on Thursday, December 7, at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium.

During the evening, the Sixth- Grade Band is set to perform the French folk song "Frere Jacques;" "Jingle Bells," arranged by Chuck Elledge; and "Jolly Old St. Nicholas" and "Up on the Housetop," both arranged by Michael Sweeney.

As for the Seventh and Eighth- Grade Band, it will play "Christmas Processional," arranged by John Kinyon; "Canon of Peace," arranged by Paul Jennings; "The Little Drummer Boy," arranged by Gerald Sebesky; and "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear," arranged by Ralph Ford.

Rounding out the program is the LCHS Concert Band which will perform "Jingle Bells Around the World" by Jerry Williams; "Have Yourself Merry Little Christmas," arranged by Paul Cook; "Trombones on the Housetop," arranged by Mark Williams; "African Bell Carol," arranged by Robert W. Smith; "Merry Christmas and All That Jazz," arranged by Michael Story; and "Here Comes Santa Clause," arranged by Jasper Dukes, band director at LCMS/ LCHS.

Although there is no admission charge for the event, the Lincoln County Band Boosters will be accepting donations at the door.
