Swain visits to Pre-K students
Mr. Ryan Swain, an officer with the Department of Natural Resources, recently visited Lincoln County Pre-K students. Mr. Swain shared information about wildlife native to Lincoln County. Pictured with Swain are (L-r) Marc Hunter, Teyona McCoppin, and Mia Kendrick students in Mrs. Lehocky's Pre-K classroom. Some of the animal skins Mr. Swain brought along included red and gray foxes, spotted and stripped skunks, bobcat, coyote, mink, otter, weasel, deer, squirrel, opossum, and, for Thanksgiving, wild turkeys. Mr. Swain talked about how skins of animals were used by Native Americans.
