Local 4-H'ers participate in District Project Achievement

Lincoln County 4-H took 12 fifth and sixth graders to Rock Eagle on November 18 for Cloverleaf District Project Achievement (DPA) competition. Four 4-H teen leaders and several family members also attended.

In preparation for DPA these cloverleafs have worked for several weeks after school. After choosing a subject category, the 4-H'ers do research, write a speech, and create posters or prepare a dish for foods project or even make a piece of clothing for creative stitchery. The cloverleafs will practice their presentations and make final preparations in the final week before the competition.

We would like to congratulate these 4-H'ers on a job well done. Ten of the twelve came home with ribbons. Littletorree Henderson, first place food fare; Aubrey Garcia, second place, cat care; Anjdrea Garnett, second place, fruits and nuts; Macy Hill, second place, food for family; Quardale Hogan, second place, health; Kristin James, second place, human development; Sierra Norman, third place, human development; Tripp Gains, third place, target sports; Kaylee Harmon, third place, between meal snacks; and Deanne Hearst, third place, creative stitchery. Anjelica Garnett and Tynecia Garnett also competed.
