Amberly Aycock honored at basket shower Nov. 4

December bride-elect Amberly Aycock was honored at a basket shower on Saturday morning, November 4, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Mattison on Wallace-Wells Circle in Lincolnton. Joining Mrs. Mattison and her daughter, Julianne, as hostesses were Mrs. Guil Mattison and Mrs. Rusty Spratlin of Lincolnton, and Mrs. Kevin Blizzard of Columbia County.

Miss Aycock and her prospective bridegroom, Phil Roberts, have plans to marry on December 2. For the shower Miss Aycock wore a casual outfit of sage pants and a black jacket. Her corsage was composed of a sterling disc on a bangle adorned with ribbon and gypsophila.

Each invited guest was asked to select a theme and fill a basket with appropriate items. The bride-elect received many lovely baskets filled with original ideas. The hostess gift was a mini-shopping cart filled with pantry staples.

Refreshments were served from the breakfast room table that was centered with a beautiful ball basket arrangement of Gish red rober, Bells of Ireland, bronze daisies and orange roses. Guests served themselves ham biscuits, coffee cake, fruit, cheese, coffee and juice.

Among the guests attending was the bride-elect's mother, Mrs. Marion Aycock of Lincolnton; as well as other out-of-town guests, Mrs. Mark McKinney and Katie Britt of Simpsonville, S.C., and Mrs. Mike Cartner of Rock Hill, S.C.
