Henderson is guest speaker at monthly CCLC meeting

The Concerned Citizens of Lincoln County (CCLC) met at the public library on October 19. Darrell Henderson was the invited guest speaker.

Darrell is on the election ballot for November 7 for county commissioner for district one. His address to the members was about what he would like to see accomplished in the coming years. One goal would be to see about a fixed tax base on property tax for citizens on homestead exemptions. He stated he would be available to any suggestions from the citizens of Lincoln County.

Al Bean, president, reviewed all that had been accomplished during the past year, which were over a dozen projects addressed and completed. An issue of impact fees was discussed and will be again taken to the county commissioners.

A quarterly town meeting was discussed and will be taken up at the next meeting November 16. Election of officers was held. Al Bean was reelected as president, Jamie Williams was elected vice president, and Paula Henderson was elected secretary and treasurer.

Walker T. Norman, chairman of the county commission, has been invited as guest speaker at the next meeting, November 16. Everyone is invited to attend.
