Donald E. Walker

Mr. Donald Edward "Don" Walker 80, of Metasville Road entered into rest on Friday, October 13, 2006 at the residence.

Funeral service were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 16, at Beulah Baptist Church with Revs. Stephen Rayner, Paul Richardson and Jamie Callaway officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Mr. Walker was self-employed as a refrigeration technician and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Walker and a brother, Carroll Walker.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, June H. Walker; one son, Kim Walker of Lincolnton; one daughter, Karon Walker of Gainesville, Fl.; one brother, George Walker of Tallahassee, Fl; five sisters, Evelyn W. Logan of Graniteville, S.C., Ruth W. Poland of Lincolnton Ga., Priscilla W. Styles of Conyers, Ga., Shirley W. Ashmore of Belton, S.C. and Imelda Walker of Lewiston, N.Y.; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were grandsons. Rees Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
