Cynthia Louise Wynn weds Torri LaFreadrick Norman Aug. 5

MR. AND MRS. TORRI LAFREADRICK NORMAN
Cynthia Louise Wynn of Washington and Torri LaFreadrick Norman of Lincolnton exchanged wedding vows in a lovely double-ring ceremony Saturday, August 5, at four o'clock in the afternoon at the First Baptist Church in Lincolnton. Rev. Dennis Quinn of Washington officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Gartrell of Washington.

The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Doris Norman of Lincolnton and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Norman of Tignall.

The altar held ferns on ivory columns amid seven-branched candelabra. Centering this setting was a central arch adorned with Burgundy and ivory roses and ivory tulle. A matching arrangement formed the background within the arch. Aisles were adorned with Burgundy and ivory roses and lighted tulle that trailed from pew to pew down the center aisle. Candles were lighted by brothers of the bride, James Gartrell and Barry Gartrell of Washington.

Musicians were Gene Acree and Emanuel Acree of Washington. Melissa Blackmon and Jameson Graves of Washington were vocalists.

Rogera Crite of Lincolnton served as best man. Usher-groomsmen were Ronald Violante of Augusta, Al Norman of Aiken, S.C., brother of the bridegroom, Victor Elam of Harlem, cousin of the bridegroom, Roylee Ferguson of Lincolnton, James Gartrell and Barry Gartrell.

They wore ivory tuxedos with Burgundy vests and ivory rose boutonnieres while the bridegroom's tuxedo and vest were all ivory. His boutonniere was a Burgundy rose.

Mrs. Barry Gartrell of Washington, sister-in-law of the bride, was matron of honor and Tracey Wynn of Washington, daughter of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Audrey Gartrell, sister of the bride, Denise Hampton, cousin of the bride, Melanie Thomas, Stephanie Daniels and Tianna Mahoney of Washington, and Mrs. Danny Watts of Plum Branch, S.C., sister of the bridegroom.

Their Burgundy gowns featured spaghetti strap bodices. The matron of honor's straps were adorned with rhinestone accents and the maid of honor's gown had an added scarf. Each attendant carried a bouquet of Burgundy and ivory roses with sheer ivory ribbon.

Danlesha Watts of Plum Branch, S.C., niece of the bridegroom, was

flower girl. Her tea-length ivory sleeveless dress was fashioned with a round neckline. She carried a basket of rose petals.

Torri LaFreadrick Norman Jr. of Lincolnton, son of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride was radiant in her fulllength ivory gown designed with a V-neck bodice with rhinestone accents and spaghetti straps.

Her ivory waist-length veil fell from a tiara.

She carried a bouquet of ivory and Burgundy roses accented with gypsophila and ivy and tied with ivory sheer ribbon.

For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Gartrell chose an ankle-length ivory three-piece chiffon ensemble with sparkling accents.

Mrs. Norman, the bridegroom's mother, wore a beige ankle-length gown with an ivory lace sweater with sparkle detailing.

Mrs. Clifford Norman, the bridegroom's stepmother, chose a shimmering grey ankle-length twopiece ensemble.

Each had an ivory rose corsage.

Mrs. Hermecender Crawford of Augusta directed the wedding. Decorations were provided by Gail Hill.

Reception

Following the ceremony, the couple was honored with a dinnerreception in the church fellowship hall.

A beautiful three-tiered wedding cake centered a round table covered in ivory and overlaid with an ivory sheer cloth with Burgundy ribbon accents. The ivory confection was decorated with Burgundy roses and cascading tulle bows. The traditional bridal couple figurine topped the cake. To the side of the cake was a three-branched silver candelabrum with Burgundy tapers. Lighted votives also accented the table.

The couple was seated at a table covered in ivory and decorated with scattered Burgundy rose petals. Her bouquet centered the table.

The wedding party table featured Burgundy cloths with ivy accents and the bridesmaids' bouquets.

Guests' tables, covered in ivory cloths, were centered with ivory pillars in hurricane globes accented with ivory ribbon bows.

Stephen Blanchard of South Carolina, cousin of the bride, served the cake.

Others assisting in serving were Pamela Quinn, Carmelita Carter, Allison Quinn and Shantel Gartrell of Washington, cousins of the bride; Mrs. Kelly Perry of Lincolnton, aunt of the bride; and Mrs. Hermecender Crawford.

Guests enjoyed a dinner of ham, fried chicken wings and hot wings, green beans, and macaroni and cheese prepared by the bride, her mother, Mrs. James Gartrell, and uncle, Leon Quinn of Washington. Punch was made by Roger Coffee of Washington and potato salad was prepared by Janet Quinn.

Stephen Blanchard and Roland Stanley, both of South Carolina, and Mrs. Kelly Perry assisted in decorating.

Mr. and Mrs. Norman are making their home in Lincolnton.

Rehearsal Dinner

The bridal party for the wedding of Cynthia Louise Wynn and Torri LaFreadrick Norman were honored at a rehearsal dinner on the eve of the wedding.

Ivory cloths decorated the tables.

The bride-elect prepared a dinner of baked spaghetti, salad, rolls, tea and pound cake in honor of her prospective bridegroom.

Mrs. Kelly Perry of Lincolnton was hostess and was assisted by her daughter, Kelliyauana Perry of Lincolnton.

Approximately 50 guests attended.
