Chamber Chatter

We just had our 9th annual Holidays In Olde Lincoln Towne Festival and it was a successful event.

I’ve heard many compliments on the parade this year, and I have also had a few requests for next year.

Last week their was a survey in the Lincoln Journal about your thoughts on the parade, and each member of the Chamber should have received one by mail. Please cut-out the following survey, complete it at your convenience, and return it to the Chamber of Commerce by Friday, January 5, 2007. We would love to hear your suggestions!

The parade is our biggest event and one that is done to bring each aspect of our community together to celebrate the season in a positive and genuine manner. It requires countless hours of work, dedication, and diligence from our staff and volunteers. So many people helped to make the parade a successful event and I truly thank them all for their help.

The 2006 Annual Banquet will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2007 at 7:00 P.M. at The Lincoln County High School Lunchroom. Our guest speaker will be Mr. S. Trutt Cathy, Founder and Chairman of Chickfil A, Inc.

He is a successful businessman with 60 year’s of proven excellence; he’s a philanthropist, author, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Read more about S. Truett Cathy at www.truettcathy.com.\par Tickets for this event are $15.00 each and can be purchased from any Chamber Director or at the Chamber Office. Reserve your table or to buy tickets by calling (706) 359-7970 by Monday, January 8th.

I would personally like to invite each of you to this event, it will be a fun, exciting, and entertaining night.

Hope each of you have a Happy Holiday and Happy New Year!
