Dorothy "Dot" Kinney Hunt, 74, beloved wife of William "Billy" Erby Hunt, Jr., of Thomson, Ga., entered into rest on November 28, 2006 at her residence.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 30 at First Baptist Church in Thomson with Dr. James Ramsey officiating. Interment followed in Westview Cemetery.

Mrs. Hunt was a native of Wilkes County but lived in McDuffie County since 1951. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin Marshall Kinney and the late Suedelle Rogers Kinney. She worked with the Wilson Company for 25 years and retired as a clerk from Jefferson EMC in 1997. She was also a member of First Baptist Church and a member of the Agape Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her husband, William "Billy" Erby Hunt, Jr.; a son and daughter-in-law, William Erby

Hunt, III (Bill) and Tammy of Lincolnton; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen Hunt Williams and Scott of Thomson; two grandchildren, Taylor Marshall Williams and Harper Alexis Williams of Thomson; two brothers, Emory Kinney (Gwen) of Greenville, S.C. and Larry Kinney (Marie) of LaPorte, Tx.; and one sister, Sadie Kinney Golden of Augusta, Ga.

Pallbearers were Don Newsome, Beeman Barnett, Paul Leroy, James Talkington, Fred Perdue, Joe McCommons, Bobby Jones and Lamar McKinney. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Agape Sunday School Class.

Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson, was in charge of arrangements.
