Glenn G. Hopkins

Mrs. Glenn G. Hopkins entered into rest on Monday, November 6, 2006 at Moses Cone Hospital.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 9 at Guilford Park Presbyterian Church. Interment followed at Westminister Gardens.

Mrs. Hopkins was a native of Washington, Ga. She attended cosmetology college in Charleston, S.C. Upon graduation, she practiced in Charleston and Beaufort, S.C. before moving to Greensboro, N.C., where she continued to practice cosmetology for several years. She managed the ladies department at Bernard Shephard in Greensboro for ten years before retiring. She was a member of Guilford Presbyterian Church where she was active in the Women of the Church, a circle leader and a reserva-

tion chairman for the Golden Age Program, a member of the North Carolina Federation of Women's Club and Charity League of Greensboro, and she did volunteer work at Wesley Long Hospital for several years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Hopkins, Jr.

Survivors include one son, John E. Hopkins, III and wife, Dru of Greensboro, S.C.; two sisters, Geneva Mayfield of Atlanta, Ga. and Marie Smalley of Lincolnton; and two grandchildren, Jacy and Shay Hopkins of Greensboro.
