Log Cabin Harvest Festival to be held at ECSP this Sat.

The first-ever "Log Cabin Harvest Festival" will take place Saturday, November 11, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Elijah Clark State Park.

Members of the community are invited to come out and see how the early Georgia settlers celebrated the harvest.

"Pioneers" in period clothing will be on hand, demonstrating their crafts and answering questions. There will also be tempting gifts and bounty from the harvest for sale. The event will feature: Wool spinning and carding. Toy making. Wood carving. Basket weaving. Candle making. Blacksmithing. Butter churning. Calligraphy. Live dulcimer music.

Food concessions.

"Old timey" games for young and old alike.

There is no admission charge. However, visitors to the park are reminded that all Georgia state parks charge a $3 entrance fee per vehicle.
