Miss Carol Lunceford, 63, formerly of Lincolnton, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at St. Joseph Hospital in Augusta, Ga.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 23 at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Rev. David Jenkins officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Miss Lunceford, a daughter of the late Johnny and Mary Smalley Lunceford, was a native of Lincolnton. Her caregivers said, "We all love

her very much and Brandon (the caregivers grandson) was very special to her and she was very special to him."

Survivors include a sister, Jane L. Gnann and husband, Ralph of Springfield, Ga.; two nephews, John and Sidney Gnann; caregivers, Corinne Bailey, Marion Howard and families; and Brandon Howard, grandson of the caregivers.

Beggs Funeral Home, Lincolnton, was in charge of arrangements.
