Applications are now available at the Welcome Center for the 2006 Junior Miss and Miss Lincoln County Pageant. The pageant is open to young ladies in the Lincolnton-Lincoln County area who are currently in the sixth grade to 20 years of age. Application deadline is Fri., Oct. 6, 5:00 p.m.

The pageant is scheduled for Sat., Oct. 21 at the Lincoln County High School Auditorium. The Junior Miss and Miss Lincoln County Pageant is sponsored by the Lincolnton-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce pageant committee, Miss Classic South Association.

The Miss Classic South Association focuses on youth development through community involvement and education. The association sponsors the Lincoln County High School STAR Student Scholarship, the Honor Graduate cords and tassels, LCES Elementary School Science Fair Awards representing the chamber, Youth Leadership Lincoln program, and other youth projects.
