A Rock Dam Backpacking Weekend is planned at Mistletoe State Park for Sat., Oct. 7 for all ages and experience levels. Everyone will meet at the park outside the Nature Center at 1 p.m. This event is free except for the $3 park pass.

Bring camping gear, jacket, water, snacks, food for breakfast and something to throw into the pot for a group supper of chili or stew.

Reservations are required and may be made by calling the park at 706- 541-0321 by Fri., Sept. 29.
