Mrs. Katherine Earnest Poss, 62 of May Avenue entered into rest on Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Ga.

Graveside services were held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, September 7 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery with Revs. Aaron Aycox and T.G. Hall officiating.

Mrs. Poss, wife of the late Eugene T. Poss, Sr., was a native of Sylvania but had lived in Lincoln County most

of her life. She was the daughter of the late Jesse and Ruth Baker Earnest and was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Angie Poss Blackburn.

Survivors include one son, Eugene T. Poss, Jr. of Lincolnton; one brother, Thomas Barton of Charleston, S.C.; and three grandchildren.

Beggs Funeral Home, Lincolnton, was in charge of arrangements.
