Mr. Donald Curtis Nelms, 73, of Tignall, entered into rest on August 24, 2006 at Elbert Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 26 at Beulah Baptist Church with Revs. Jamie Callaway and Johnny Clark officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Mr. Nelms, son of Grady Nelms and Cora Evans Nelms, was a native of Clayton County but had lived in Lincoln County for 14 years. He served his country in the U.S. Army, was a retired pressman and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 22

years, Pauline; a daughter, Donna McDaniel of Covington; two brothers, Tom and Betty Nelms, and Griffin, James and Gwen Nelms of Hartwell; a sister, Eva Hogeland of Jonesboro; and six grandchildren, Kaleb McDaniel, Amanada McDaniel, Alicia McDaniel, Erin Fowler and Jacob and Nadia McDaniel.

Pallbearers were his grandson, Kaleb McDaniel and deacons of the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Beulah Baptist Church Building Fund.

Hopkins Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
