PTO hosts fall carnival to raise money for playground equipment
A fall carnival will be held Friday, September 22, from 5 until 8 p.m. at LCES.
The event is being sponsored by the LCES PTO (Parent-Teacher Organization) to raise money to purchase playground equipment for the school.
The carnival will feature hair painting, face painting, a Mickey Mouse Fun Tent, LCES cups ($2 each) with free refills, drawings, balloons, hamburgers, hotdogs, a Swamper Stomper, a 22-foot slide, a bake sale, the "Pocket Lady," cotton candy, snocones, popcorn, and a dunking booth manned by teachers Paul Reviere, Michael Fogarty, and Veronica Kelly; LCES Assistant Principal Nancy Jones; and others.
Parents may purchase four tickets for $1 or a wrist band for $10. Wrist bands for additional children in the same family will cost $8 each.
A spokesman for the PTO noted that parents or guardians must remain at the carnival with their child.
Visitors may park in the field adjacent to the school.
