Georgia's Dog and Cat Sterilization Program was re-instated on Friday, September 1. Through the program, the state subsidizes the cost of three spaying and/or neutering procedures per veterinarian per month. One of the first dogs spayed under the "new" program was Missy, an eight-month-old American pit bull belonging to Ann Marie Dandron (c). Pictured with Missy and Dandron are Amy Dandron and Dr. Tim Causey, Lincoln County Veterinary Services.
